This policy does not, however, cover our information practices regarding information provided by members for purposes of our music creator services. Those practices will vary, and are subject to the specific agreement between SongPeddler and the music creator member. As our services evolve, the types of information we collect and our use of your information may change. Please check this policy frequently for the most current explanation of our data practices.

    What Information Do We Collect?

For more information, please see the section entitled "Use of Cookies" below.

When you use our service, we collect certain technical and routing information about your computer. For example, we log environmental variables, such as browser type, operating system, CPU speed, and the Internet Protocol address of your computer, which is a number that can be used to identify your location and Internet Service Provider. This information may be correlated with your site usage and other navigational information. In addition, we collect aggregate information about the use of our site, such as which pages are most frequently visited, how many visitors we receive daily, and how long visitors stay on each page.

SongPeddler may make available to you interactive tools such as chat rooms, forums, message boards, and news groups. If you use any interactive tools available on or through the SongPeddler sites, you should use care not to disclose your personal information. In general, such forums may be viewed by others who visit the site. Please do not disclose any confidential information on our site or in correspondence with us. SongPeddler cannot guarantee complete privacy or security of information freely offered by our users in these forums. The information described above is referred to collectively in this policy as "Data."

How Do We Use Your Data?

Your Data is used to facilitate your use of our services, to provide you with both general and tailored information about offers, products, services or other useful information from us or, if you choose, others, and to operate the SongPeddler service. If you order services from us, we may maintain an order history for your account. Some of your Data also may be shared with our business partners and others, as we find reasonably necessary for providing our services to you. Our partners may change over time, so please check back often to see the latest list of partners. While we make commercially reasonable efforts to ensure that your Data is protected by contractual restrictions, we cannot guarantee the privacy or security of Data transferred to our business partners. If you have questions about our partners' data collection practices, please contact them directly.

SongPeddler may develop demographic and individual profile data to provide you with personalized services and to perform our internal marketing analysis. Use of Cookies

When you are using our service, we may use cookies to identify you and your access privileges for restricted areas of our site. When you first sign on, we may set a temporary cookie which contains a scrambled version of your username and password. We may restrict access to certain areas of our site to registered users. Therefore, any time you go to a page on SongPeddler, we may check this cookie to see if you are allowed to visit the link you just clicked. If you set your browser to refuse our cookies, we have no way of knowing whether you are a registered user. So you may need to accept our cookies to make full use of our services. It will remain on your hard drive until the expiration date is reached, until you remove the saved sign-on information, or until you delete your cookie.

Since this information could be viewed by anyone with access to your computer, we recommend saving your sign-on only if your computer is in a secure area. You can find your own cookie file on your hard disk and see what kind of information is being stored in it, and by which sites. You can also delete the file, if you wish (which, of course, effectively deletes all the cookies that were stored there). For Windows machines, look for a "cookies.txt" file under the directory where you've stored Netscape. Internet Explorer stores cookies in a folder called "Cookies." On the Macintosh, look in the System Folder under Preferences; in the Netscape Navigator folder, it's called "MagicCookie."
