Biography
|

|
Maria Danly grew up in a suburb of Chicago Illinois and graduated with honors from Princeton University. She then co-wrote and illustrated a children's audio visual program "Dash McTrash and the Pollution Solution" for schools, worked at the Leo Burnet advertising agency in Chicago, then moved to Los Angeles to work in the film industry. There she supported herself writing music for commercials and reading tarot cards at industry parties. She then co-wrote thirty nine shows of music for Jim Henson's "Mother Goose Stories" with her sister, Linda, which was produced in Los Angeles and Devon, England.
She married Robert Gould in 1986 and lived with her husband in a cottage on Dartmoor, England. There, she wrote and illustrated a book, to a accompany a co-written tape of lullaby music for childern, "Lullaby River," which was published by Alfred Knopf in 1988.
All the while, Maria studied metaphysics and spirituality, teaching courses from "The Course in Miracles," rebirthing, and seminars on Celtic ritual in Ireland where she studied the Celtic harp with Janet Harbison. Moving back to L.A. she wrote and produced an adult CD, "Invocation: Journey & Ritual" with Scott Greer, an album that lifts spirits, enchants and heals its listeners.
For the past six years, Maria has been a leader and trainer for the Coaches Training Institute where she leads courses on personal and professional coaching, in the United States and abroad. She is currently living in a fairy tale cottage above Muir Woods in Mill Valley, Ca. where she coaches her clients to become powerful, spiritual adults, leads coach trainings and weaves mysticism into her other worldly music.
