Biography

In her latest solo endeavor, Laura's blend of straight-ahead rock with melodic finger-picking is as unique as it is familiar. Just listen to samples from her 1993 demo, Bloodstone, to get at the roots of her songwriting.
Co-founder and former member of Slinky Minx, an all-girl Sonoma county band, this Indiana-guitarist has played steadily in the local touring circuit. In
Northern California, the band played over 30 shows in 14 months at venues like the Raven, the Last Day Saloon and the Black Cat. They recorded their original songs with noted engineer Roger Tschann (Grizzly Studios), but never released their 7-song demo called Silhouette.
Hoping to blend roots rock, riff rock and finger-picking, Laura is spearheading her new project, Odd Girl In. Featuring Drea Moore (of Wack Ass Bitch) on drums and vocals and Doc (of the Lemon Limelights) on bass, Odd Girl began performing in summer of 2005. |
